Pain open forum Complex pain, acute on chronic pain and, pain not responsive to standard treatments may result in inpatient admission. As key members of acute pain services, anaesthetists are considered the local experts in paediatric pain throughout Aotearoa/New Zealand/Australia. This forum aims to facilitate discussion of the current situation, highlight what optimal treatment looks like and, share ideas about how to achieve the best care in our environment.
