Women's Empowerment and Leadership Initiative (WELI) Networking Breakfast  
No cost to attend, however pre-registration is required.

The breakfast will start with an intro to WELI, the why, the how and where WELI is up to right now, and then a very brief talk about the power of networking. Then it will transition to a networking opportunity, facilitated with ice breakers and conversation starters, and then every 5-10 minutes participants will move around the room so they can start again with a new group of people.  All are welcome.

Manawa Simulation Centre 
The CICO workshop is designed as a refresher to maintain the necessary skills to manage emergency front of neck access in critical airway emergencies.  The workshop will include an emphasis on current management strategies in children.  The 90-minute program will involve hands on learning and the simulation of an airway emergency. Participants in the ANZCA and FPM CPD program may claim this workshop/course as a CICO emergency response activity in their CPD portfolio.

Paed ALS workshop | Cost: A$500 
Offsite: Manawa Simulation Centre 
The Paediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) workshop is designed as a refresher to maintain the necessary skills and knowledge to effectively handle paediatric emergencies and resuscitation scenarios.
The workshop lasts for 90 minutes and employs scenario-based simulations as well as hands-on practice in cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) and intraosseous skills. 
The workshop is recognized by the Australian and New Zealand College of Anaesthetists (ANZCA) Continuing Professional Development (CPD) program as a cardiac arrest emergency response activity.

Regional Anaesthesia workshop  | Cost: A$250
My favourite block: Plan A regional anaesthesia for children
The Plan A block initiative from RA-UK (Regional Anaesthesia – UK) aims to expand the use of regional anaesthesia to benefit the most patients possible by teaching and maintaining competency in a selection of high value blocks. This hands-on workshop will introduce or sharpen your skills on the Plan A blocks frequently used in children.

This workshop aims to give participants an opportunity to share their experiences with newborn resuscitation,  discuss the priorities in this population and practice newborn life support skills

Optional Tour: Walking tour | Cost: A$20
Explore Christchurch with a 90-minute walking tour around the city. Visit cultural sites, historic landmarks, and the stunning city surrounds with a local guide whilst learning about the Māori Culture.  The walking route will outline the development of the city over the last 150+ years as well as providing some focus on the impact of the 2010-11 earthquakes on the city landscape and the emergence of a modern post earthquake city.
