The State Reception Centre was built in 2011 to accommodate the Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting Leaders' Retreat in a high quality function facility overlooking Kings Park, the City of Perth and the Swan River. The connection between the centre and the Commonwealth is symbolised by the use of the recycled wandoo timber to construct the building's balcony decking that came from the stadium seating used for the 1962 Empire and Commonwealth Games in Perth. Along with the view, guests will enjoy a delicious 3 course meal and local entertainment making this a night not to miss!
