Things To Do in Perth

Kings Park 

One of the world's largest and most beautiful inner city parks. It is rich in Aboriginal and European history, contemporary culture and offers innovative design, displays and services. The Park is home to the spectacular Western Australian Botanic Garden which displays over 3, 000 species of the State's unique flora. Visitors will enjoy sweeping views of the Swan and Canning Rivers, the city skyline and the Darling Ranges. There is an abundance of bushland walk trails, superbly maintained gardens and parklands including a variety of children's discovery play areas. There is a visitor information centre, free daily guided walks, gallery shop and cafes. Kings Park is also the perfect spot for a lunch or dinner picnic too!

Getting there: Self-drive, parking is free at the Park. Public transport: Catch Transperth bus route 37 travels from St Georges Terrace right into the heart of the Park at the Fraser Avenue Precinct. Travel is free from the city.

The Bell Tower

One of the world's largest musical instruments, an 82.5m tower houses the 12 bells of St Martins in-the-fields in Trafalgar Square. The tower offers interesting displays on the history of the bells and bell ringing along with magnificent views of Perth city and the Swan River.

Visit Rottnest Island

Rottnest Island is Western Australia's very own Island getaway that features a relaxed, casual atmosphere, picture perfect scenery and some of the world's finest beaches and bays. Visit Fremantle

Located just 30 minutes drive from Perth, Fremantle has something for everyone. 'Freo' as it is affectionately known, has a rich maritime and Colonial history with many great attractions where visitors can learn all about it such as the WA Maritime Museum, the Old Fremantle Prison and the WA Shipwreck Galleries. Fremantle boasts an abundance of shops, boutiques and the Fremantle Markets for those that love to shop. When it's time to have a break, there is a variety of cafes and restaurants to choose from that suit all palates and budgets. The Waterfront and the Fishing Boat Harbour precincts are great places to visit and to have a bite to eat or a drink by the water.
