travel grants

DEADLINE: MONDAY 16TH FEBRUARY 2026

Applications for travel grants are completed during the abstract submission process. The deadline for travel grant applications will be strictly adhered to, to ensure a fair system is open to all members.

TAPNA Asia Pacific Travel Grant:

Please see the below eligibility requirements: 

  • Applicants must be from Asia Pacific region with preference given to those from a Low or Low-Middle Income Countries*
  • Application for the award must be submitted together with an abstract to the TAPNA Scientific Committee for evaluation and consideration. 
  • Applicants will be judged on the merits of the scientific quality of their submitted abstracts as well as having fulfilled other stated criteria
  • Successful applicants will be notified by email from the Conference Organisers
  • Scholarship winners are required to attend the TAPNA 2026 Scientific Meeting held at Pullman Cairns International, Australia, and hold an an oral presentation of their submitted studies
  • The value of the travel component of the scholarship is AUD 1,000
  • One grant will be awarded per year
  • An applicant must not have received a scholarship from TAPNA in the last 3 years and should not have previously received 2 or more previous scholarships.

All applicants must complete the below during the abstract submission: 

  • Submit an abstract
  • Provide a current CV (Limited to 2-pages) 
  • Tick required field during abstract submission to apply for grant
  • Declare any other funding applied for or confirmed

*LIC and LMIC – as per World Bank Group country classification by income level



    TAPNA Training Travel Grant:

    Please see the below eligibility requirements: 

    • Applicants must be in training (i.e. medical, pharmacy or nursing student, doctors in a training program: registrar, junior doctors: resident medical officer, intern or pharmacy interns).
    • Application for the award must be submitted together with an abstract to the TAPNA Scientific Committee for evaluation and consideration. 
    • Applicants will be judged on the merits of the scientific quality of their submitted abstracts as well as having fulfilled other stated criteria
    • Successful applicants will be notified by email from the Conference Organisers
    • Scholarship winners are required to attend the TAPNA 2026 Scientific Meeting held at Pullman Cairns International, Australia, and hold an an oral presentation of their submitted studies

      TAPNA Poisons Information Staff (SPI) Travel Grant:

      Please see the below eligibility requirements: 

      • Applicants must be Specialist in Poisons Information (SPI) from a Poisons Information Centre in New Zealand or Australia
      • Application for the award must be submitted together with an abstract to the TAPNA Scientific Committee for evaluation and consideration. 
      • Applicants will be judged on the merits of the scientific quality of their submitted abstracts as well as having fulfilled other stated criteria
      • Successful applicants will be notified by email from the Conference Organisers
      • Scholarship winners are required to attend the TAPNA 2026 Scientific Meeting held at Pullman Cairns International, Australia, and hold an an oral presentation of their submitted studies
