The IS PACMaC curriculum is based on the full day PACMaC and can be tailored to the host departments’ requirements and unique case mix.
The course is designed for anaesthetists and peri-operative teams who care for children. Anaesthetists will lead crisis-based scenarios in both theatre and PACU, with the help of their anaesthesia assistants and nursing staff in their own environments.
COURSE OBJECTIVE
Revise and practice peri-operative paediatric resuscitation with teams in their local environments. The PACMaC course content can be tailored to suit the needs of the hospital and the time available. It applies to regional centres as well as tertiary paediatric facilities.
ANZCA CPD
All courses will be eligible for ANZCA CPD points under the Practice Evaluation (reviewing performance) team scenario section and Cardiac Arrest emergency response.
