APEG ASM 2018 - CALL FOR ABSTRACTS

ABSTRACT SUBMISSION HAS NOW CLOSED. THE DEADLINE WAS MONDAY 9TH APRIL 2018.

IMPORTANT NOTE:  There will be NO extension to the abstract deadline.  This is in line with APEG policy to strictly adhere to deadline dates.

Abstract submissions are welcome for the following categories for presentation at the APEG ASM in Newcastle:
Oral presentation* 
Oral or Poster 
Young Investigators Oral Presentation* 
Poster Presentation

* Not all abstracts for these categories will be accepted as oral presentations. The best abstracts will be selected for oral presentations and others as posters.

FORMATTING YOUR ABSTRACT

Abstracts should be formatted as follows:

Paper Title - (CAPITAL CASE, Arial, font size 12 Bold) 
Full Author List - (Title Case, Arial, font size 10 Bold) with the presenting author's name underlined 
List of Author affiliations and country - (Title Case, Arial, font size 10 italics) 
Descriptive text including tables - (Sentence Case, Arial font size 10). * Note that characters and symbols must be inserted into the document using the INSERT SYMBOL function, not by changing the font, and please do not use document styles. 
The abstract, without subheadings, should be in the following form: Aims, Methods, Results, Conclusion. 
Cite references in numeric order in parentheses according to first mention in the text (Arial font size 10). 
Overall word count, excluding titles and affiliations must not exceed 400 words. 
Figures are NOT acceptable.

PRIZES

APEG will be awarding a best poster prize for the best scored poster presented at the conference. This will be determined by a committee and invited international speakers who will judge the posters during the poster viewing sessions scheduled in the program. The prize will be awarded at the conference dinner on Tuesday 31st July at Merewether Surfhouse.
