Please read all details below (and other pages for accommodation) before you begin purchasing tickets to the festival.

Each person attending the festival needs to purchase their own tickets to ensure details are captured correctly for the festival experience. Please read the information on this site before purchasing tickets.

WHATS INCLUDED IN YOUR TICKET?

Full Weekend Pass

  • Attendance at ALL sessions across Saturday and Sunday 
  • Morning tea on both festival days*  
  • Book signings on both festival days
  • Option to enter the First Pages Pitch Contest
  • Option to add on a ticket for the 2025 Festival Dinner
  • Wristband, program booklet and other festival materials for both festival days
  • All plenary sessions, interviews and panel conversations in the program 
  • On demand access to all festival content for 3 months post-festival  

On Day Pass 

  • Attendance at ALL sessions on either Saturday or Sunday) whichever you have booked) 
  • Morning tea on your chosen festival day* 
  • Book signings on your chosen festival day
  • Option to enter the First Pages Pitch Contest
  • Option to add on a ticket for the 2025 Festival Dinner
  • Wristband, program booklet and other festival material for your chosen day

*lunch and afternoon tea are not provided regardless of ticket type. 


CONCESSION RATES

The concession rates available for festival tickets are for anyone who holds a valid concession card (for more information please refer to the Department of Human Services website). Concession card details must be entered when buying festival tickets, otherwise the full ticket price will be charged.  

Note, any students attending must be either a school student or undergraduate/post-graduate student of tertiary institution, and a valid student ID must be uploaded when buying tickets otherwise the full rate will be charged.  


PAYMENT OF FEES

All prices are quoted in Australian dollars. An invoice (receipt) will be provided for all ticket purchases, however you purchase the ticket/s before one can be issued. 

Payment of fees can be made by direct deposit or credit card (MasterCard and Visa 2.2% surcharge). All outstanding fees must be paid in full prior to the festival.   


CANCELLATION, REFUNDS & specific consents

Cancellations must be notified in writing to the Festival Team on HNSA@willorganise.com.au.  

Cancellations received:

  1. Before 5pm on Friday 5 September 2025 will incur a A$50 cancellation fee;
  2. after the date referred to in point 1. but before 5pm on Friday 3 October 2025, you are entitled to 50% refund of monies actually received; 
  3. after 3 October 2025 there will be no refund.

Please note that this event is being managed as agent for and on behalf of the Historical Novel Society Australasia Inc (ABN) by Will Organise Pty Ltd (ABN 84 606 495 381). The information you provide when you submit your personal information to us will be collected by Will Organise Pty Ltd and will be shared with the Historical Novel Society Australasia Inc and other participants in the event, as set in our privacy collection statementprivacy policy, and specific contents.


INSURANCE

The festival organising team strongly recommends that you take out insurance for your travel and attendance at the festival. The festival cannot accept any responsibility for participants failing to arrange their own insurance.
