SANDIE DOCKER


Sandie Docker is an internationally published author of dual timeline women's fiction, known for her heartwarming stories about love, loss, family and small-town life, and exploring little-known parts of Australian history. Her novels include The Kookaburra Creek Cafe, The Cottage at Rosella Cove, The Banksia Bay Beach Shack, The Wattle Island Book Club, The Redgum River Retreat, and The Lyrebird Lake Ladies Choir. Sandie is also the founder and director of The Northern Beaches Readers Festival.

If you could have dinner with any historical figure, who would it be and why?

Oh gosh, that's hard to pick just one!! Jane Austen and Shakespeare are probably so cliche for a writer to answer this question with, but how could I go past two such literary luminaries, and Jane Austen was the author who got me reading women's fiction, so I owe her a jolly good roast lamb followed by pavlova!!
