Shannon Curtis is an award-winning, bestselling Australian author who has worked as an administrator, dangerous goods handler, and a betting agent before writing novels. Shannon has written over fifteen novels in contemporary, romantic suspense and paranormal romance fiction, and now teaches creative writing at colleges, libraries and writing centres. Her latest romantic suspense novel, Easy Target, won the Romance Writers of Australia’s Romantic Book of the Year.

Understand what tropes are and how to use them with brainstorming and outlining through a fun, interactive workshop where both individual and group activities are designed to educate, but also inspire your muse.
Participants will:
- Learn what tropes are;
- Discover some of the most common (and some uncommon) tropes;
- Learn how tropes can be used for plotting;
- Join in a fun game of Trope-Tastic to outline a story in real time
