Professor John Corrigan, United States of America
John Corrigan is Professor in the Department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at The Ohio State University in the United States and Director of the Ohio Valley Center for Brain Injury Prevention and Rehabilitation. For more than 40 years he has treated, studied and advocated for people with brain injury. Since 2013, he has been the Director of the Ohio Brain Injury Program - Ohio's lead agency for policy and planning related to living with brain injury. He is the National Research Director for the Brain Injury Association of America and has previously served other national organizations, including the Injury Control Center at the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, the U.S. Veterans Administration, and the U.S. Department of Defense's Defense Health Board. He is Editor-in-Chief of the Journal of Head Trauma Rehabilitation – the official journal of the Brain Injury Association of America - and has authored over 200 peer-reviewed publications. His work has been honoured with the Brain Injury Association of America’s William Fields Caveness Award, the Robert L. Moody Prize for Distinguished Initiatives in Brain Injury Award, the Gold Key Award from the American Congress of Rehabilitation Medicine, and a Lifetime Achievement Award from the International Brain Injury Association.
Professor Mark Bayley, Canada
Dr. Mark Bayley is Professor in the Division of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at the University of Toronto and Coriat Family Chair in Rehabilitation Service Innovation and Program Medical Director and Physiatrist-in-Chief at the Toronto Rehabilitation Institute. He leads large-scale national and international implementation science and knowledge translation research aimed at improving recovery from brain injury, including the International Cognitive (“INCOG”) Rehabilitation Guidelines after Traumatic Brain Injury.
