Assisted dying- what would legalization mean for you?
Increasing efforts to legalise assisted dying in Australia have forced the medical community to enter the debate on a controversial topic that many doctors find challenging to discuss. The RACP Euthanasia and Assisted Death Working Party is currently drafting a RACP position statement and would like to hear the views of those working in palliative care. The discussion will be focused on what legalization of assisted dying would mean at a practical level, and what supports physicians feel they would need both prior and after legalization, should it occur.
This session will be held after meeting sessions on Friday 23rd June from 1700 - 1745.
