What is LinLi looking for?

What is the minimum word-count your agency takes, or your publishing house requires?
Single title only (80k and upwards)

What sub-genres or genres are you not looking for?
YA, Science Fiction.

Is there a genre or sub-genre you’re particularly keen to see?
Fantasy Romance (standalone), Romantic Comedy (Australian-set), Contemporary Romance (Australian-set), Up-market/Book club fiction, Commercial Women's fiction.

What genre is your personal favourite?
Having to choose between genres really brings out my commitment issues!

What is your major turn-off in a book?
An undercooked miscommunication plot...

What is likely to really knock your socks off besides an engaging voice and well-written book?
Character stakes that are intrinsically linked to narrative stakes (but also the kind of pining that physically hurts).

Any advice to your potential pitchers?
The most memorable pitches are the ones that make me feel like you're a friend telling me about an amazing book that I need to read!
