What is Camille looking for?

What is the minimum word-count your agency takes, or your publishing house requires?
Single title only (80k and upwards), Category length (45k-55k), Novella or less (40k down to short story), Other - Audiobooks

What sub-genres or genres are you not looking for?
None

Is there a genre or sub-genre you’re particularly keen to see?
We welcome any and all genres on Apple Books.

What genre is your personal favourite?
I can't go past a good rom-com!

What is your major turn-off in a book?
Predictable storylines and one-dimensional characters. I like to read books with a good pace and strong, well rounded characters.

What is likely to really knock your socks off besides an engaging voice and well-written book?
I like to be swept up in a book from the first page - and so do our customers. It's great to have a solid opening, and also fantastic for our customers who are having a read if a sample chapter before they buy the book.

Any advice to your potential pitchers?
I would love to hear about your brief elevator pitch of the book/s itself, but also what you are planning to do to market it before and after release. Is it part of a series? Are you open to promotions? Can you compare it to any other authors? All of these considerations we can chat about in our meeting.
