OPTIONAL WORKSHOPS
The PANNZ CICO workshop is designed as a refresher to maintain the necessary skills to manage emergency front of neck access in critical airway emergencies. The workshop will include an emphasis on current management strategies in children. The 90-minute program will involve hands on learning and the simulation of an airway emergency. Participants in the ANZCA and FPM CPD program may claim this workshop/course as a CICO emergency response activity in their CPD portfolio.

The PANNZ Cardiac Arrest workshop involves hands-on simulation exercises and debriefing discussions designed to achieve specific objectives of the ANZCA CPD Cardiac Arrest Emergency Module. A certificate of completion will be issued.
Though most of the principles of cardiac arrest in children are similar to adults, there are some very important differences and challenges. There are also important differences in aetiology and conduct of cardiac arrest in the operating room environment.
Participants will care for children of different ages in a simulated operating room or recovery area, working in teams and within their scope of practice. These workshops will be accredited as 'Emergency Response Activities' by ANZCA.
