On Friday night for our cocktail party our fancy dress theme is “All That Glitters”.
Join us as we come together to be merry and celebrate the best of what our industry has to offer. You’ll be surrounded by the most amazing costumes, good friends, and the drinks will be ice cold. There will be light refreshments, loads of conversation, dancing and prizes for best dressed.
We’d love to see you there, shining and sparkling in your best razzle dazzle outfit!
Tickets are included with the core conference registration.
LGBTQIA+ NETWORKING EVENT
Saturday 12 August 2023Location: Brisbane room
Time: 4.30pm - 5.30pm
Cost: Free to attend
If you’re lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, intersex, queer/questioning, asexual plus! Or if you’re someone who advocates for the equal treatment for all people regardless of their sex, sexuality, gender identity or relationships, join the RWA Diversity team at 4.30pm on Saturday in the Brisbane room.
There’s no RWA LGBTQIA+ community without you! LGBTQIA+ delegates and allies are invited to chat or chill with new writing friends. Discuss your writing journey, the publishing industry, and share ideas about what RWAus can do to support you.

Dress code: semi-formal to black-tie – your choice!
Join us for a fabulous night where we celebrate all things romance! You’ll enjoy a delicious three-course meal and get to socialise and network with your fellow writers, and if you aren’t ready to end the party there, we’ll kick on with music and dancing at our after party! There’ll be plenty to celebrate with presentations and awards, so put on your finest and join us for a night you won’t forget!
