Clare Placek is a Clinical Nurse Consultant for the Illawarra Shoalhaven Child and Family Health service and a Clinical Nurse Specialist in the Illawarra Shoalhaven Sustaining NSW Families team.
Clare is a Registered Nurse, Midwife, childbirth & parent educator and has worked as an academic at the University of Wollongong. Clare holds a Masters in Science and has worked for over 20 years in public, private and not for profit health sectors in Australia and overseas in the United Kingdom. Clare has extensive experience working in a number of roles within maternity and child & family health nursing in SESLHD and ISLHD.
Clare is the Brighter Beginnings First 2000 Days project clinical lead and was the project lead for ISLHD for the First 2000 Days Illawarra Shoalhaven Community Project.
