Clare Lynch

Child and Family Nursing in Camperdown

Clare has taken an unconventional path from corporate business life to nursing. After becoming a mother at 30, she decided to return to university and pursue a passion for nursing. After many years in community nursing in the Sydney Local Health District, she left behind wounds and palliative care to join the Child and Family Nursing team in Camperdown. Coming from a large family herself, she was drawn to working with mums, babies and families. Her practice involves trauma-informed care which ensures the physical and emotional safety of an individual. She has a keen involvement for working with vulnerable families on the Sustained Home Visit Program and also the LGBTQI+ community and advocating for policy changes. She enjoys collaborating with Rainbow Families to teach the ante-natal classes. She is a keen advocate for supporting and making change to ensure equity of service. In a rare moment of free time, you might find Clare pacing the pavement around the Innerwest or off trail enjoying anything outdoors with her oversized fluffy groodle.

NSW Health acknowledges the Traditional Owners of the land across NSW, whose cultures and customs have nurtured and continue to nurture this land.

We would like to pay our respects to the Elders past, present and emerging, for they hold the memories, the traditions, the culture and the hopes of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples across the state.
