Natalie is a Specialist Developmental and Behavioural Paediatrician with more than 25 years of experience working with children and families with complex neurodiversity. Natalie is an Associate Clinical Professor at The University of Sydney and the Head of the Child Development Unit at The Children’s Hospital Westmead, the largest tertiary paediatric developmental diagnostic and assessment unit in NSW. Natalie, together with her outstanding multidisciplinary team, have focussed on delivering excellence in clinical care, empowering families, educating and training medical and allied health staff working in the field of disability and developing novel models of care and targeted interventions for a range of developmental disorders. Natalie is a strong collaborator. Notable outstanding achievements include The Centre for Effective Reading with the Department of Education from which the model of delivering excellence in Telehealth diagnosis and assessment care to rural and remote children was developed and adopted internationally, and the Child Development Registry with BMRI Sydney University. Natalie is committed to evidence based care and is an avid clinical researcher. She has been a successful investigator on several NHMRC grants and novel pharmaceutical trials impacting children and young people with autism , ADHD, Fragile X and intellectual disability. Natalie has published widely in international peer reviewed journals and written several book chapters. Natalie has been a member of many Advisory groups and Executive committees including the Helping Children with Autism Package, NDIS and the NSW ACI. Natalie believes strongly in early diagnosis and intervention, collaborating and empowering families and individuals.
