Professor Deborah Harris is a Nurse Practitioner and Professor of Nursing and Midwifery Research at the University of Newcastle and Hunter New England Health. She has extensive clinical and research experience in neonatal and paediatric care and is internationally recognised for her work in neonatal hypoglycaemia and advanced practice nursing.
Her research focuses on improving outcomes for babies, children, and families through evidence-based models of care. Deborah is particularly interested the diagnosis and management of neonatal hypoglycaemia and alternative cerebral fuels. Deborah leads and collaborates on national and international research that informs clinical practice, education, and health service delivery.
