On behalf of the Asia Pacific Paediatric Endocrine Society (APPES), I would like to invite you to attend our joint meeting with the Australia and the New Zealand Society for Paediatric Endocrinology and Diabetes (ANZSPED). This is our 2nd joint meeting with the Society, and we are excited to return to Australia after the very enjoyable and successful meeting in 2014. ANZSPED are merging their annual scientific meeting to hold it jointly with our APPES biennial meeting and both societies are working together to create a truly joint program. The meeting will be held in Brisbane, Queensland, which is easily accessible for many across the Asia Pacific Region and we are delighted to be working with ANZSPED to bring you this meeting. We look forward to welcoming you all to enjoy the Australian hospitality, and hopefully get to meet a Koala during your stay! We hope that you will not only enjoy the science and collegiality of our meetings but that you will also take time to explore Queensland and other areas of Australia and immerse yourself in its physical beauty. I would like to take this opportunity to invite all of you to join this meeting and share your expertise and experience in the field of paediatric endocrinology.

On behalf of ANZSPED and the Australasian Paediatric Endocrine and Diabetes community, I warmly welcome you to the APPES-ANZSPED joint scientific meeting in Brisbane, 2026.
Our two great societies have so much to gain by pooling resources and encouraging collaborations across our region. We plan to host a meeting with diverse content for all clinicians, researchers, scientists and other interested groups in the areas of Endocrinology and Diabetes.
Our joint meeting in Darwin 2014 was a terrific success, and Brisbane will be a wonderful backdrop for another combined meeting. We look forward to welcoming you all down under in 2026!

The Asia Pacific Paediatric Endocrine Society (APPES) is a regional paediatric endocrine society that was formed in 1999 to provide a forum for those with an interest in paediatric endocrinology and diabetes in the Asia Pacific region. While there are a number of international and regional paediatric endocrine societies, it was considered that the Asia Pacific region with its large population, large area and unique issues would benefit from having its own regional forum. The challenges facing paediatric endocrinologists in our region are enormous and we hope that APPES will be able to make a genuine contribution in future years to the improved health of children with diabetes, growth and endocrine disorders.
The Australia and New Zealand Society for Paediatric Endocrinology and Diabetes (ANZSPED) is the premier professional body representing paediatric endocrinology in Australasia and is committed to high standards of clinical care, advocacy, education, stakeholder relationships and research in paediatric endocrinology. With a broad membership of paediatric endocrinologists and allied health professionals, ANZSPED is underpinned by a number of active subcommittees. We are a collegial society and welcome new members to both ANZSPED membership and also to contribute to the subcommittees and working parties.
