PANNZ UPDATE MEETING

24 - 25 May 2025, Christchurch

The Paediatric Anaesthetist Network of New Zealand (PANNZ) main aim is to maintain two-way collaboration and communication between paediatric anaesthetist services within regions, and with colleagues in different regions, of the country. Effective communication and cooperation will ultimately help provide universal high-quality anaesthesia services to all children in the country, irrespective of their geographical placement. In addition, the network is a conduit for collaboration; facilitating observer-ships/secondments, peer-reviews/support groups for high risk/complicated paediatric anaesthesia cases, and assistance with quality assurance and advocacy.

VISIT CHRISTCHURCH

Avon River

The Avon River runs through the middle of Christchurch and there’s no more iconic activity than floating down it on a punt. Punting tours are an eco-friendly and picturesque way to get to know Christchurch.

Christchurch Gondola

Enjoy spectacular views of snow-capped mountains and Alpine scenery aboard the Christchurch Gondola with a roundtrip ticket. Walk the trails at the summit and enjoy refreshments in the Red Rock Café.

International Arctic Centre

The International Antarctic Centre transports a slice of this astounding continent to Christchurch, with a range of immersive experiences that allow everyday visitors to see, touch, feel and fall in love with Antarctica.
