The Challenges of Modern Medicine (COMM) Conference 2025 will offer 9 days of interactive presentations, meet the expert sessions and medical debates.  In our fast paced work environment, the stresses of juggling competing demands and lack of time for ongoing educational activities, the COMM Conference is designed to offer some 'space' for the attendee to recollect, reconnect and re-engage.

The sessions will focus on what delegates identify as the core challenges in their role as busy physicians, with all sessions including an open discussion forum.

This conference will provide at least 45 hours of face-to-face learning with experts in their field, including those focused on physician health and well-being.  In addition to the 'formal' sessions, there will be other opportunity for 'meet the expert' style sessions where attendees can seek out experts to discuss challenging cases, as well as debates focused on the challenges expected for the future.

The conference will provide the opportunity to network and mix with peers, to debate and exchange views, experiences and challenges.

The aim is that the delegate will return from the meeting refreshed, inspired and ready to address new challenges.

I go to nature to be soothed and healed, and to have my senses put in order.

SEYCHELLES, AFRICA

Discover paradise on earth in the Seychelles, where Africa's most beautiful beaches await. Picture-perfect coastlines boast pristine white sands and shimmering turquoise waters, creating an idyllic setting.

Dive into unforgettable adventures, exploring vibrant coral reefs, shipwrecks, and marine life including majestic whale sharks.

The Seychelles, located 4 degrees below the equator, is a melting pot of cultures, and nowhere is this more evident than in its vibrant Creole culture. With a history shaped by a mix of African, European, and Asian influences, the Seychelles has developed a unique identity that is reflected in its cuisine, music, and way of life.

All motorised sports are banned in Seychelles for conservation reasons, which means the diving and snorkeling conditions are fantastic. The Inner Islands rest on an easy-to-access, shallow plateau and the pristine Outer Islands offer experienced divers barely explored reefs.

The Seychelles is also home to world-class big game and salt-water fly-fishing, plus activities like windsurfing and sailing. With a long tradition of conservation behind it, the Seychelles is home to several marine parks as well as forest and mountain reserves.

Visit Cousine Island (its entire 27 hectares is a designated bird and turtle nature reserve) and head for the far-flung Aldabra Island, where a 150,000-strong colony of giant tortoises rule.

April to June

The best time to visit the Seychelles is between April and May, or October and November, as these are the calmer periods between the two trade winds which hit the island each year.

The Seychelles transitions from its summer to winter season during this time, and you can enjoy mild temperatures ranging from the high 20s to low 30s Celsius. The clear skies and gentle ocean breezes create a comfortable environment for beach activities.  This period also sees a decrease in tourist crowds, allowing for a more serene and intimate experience. Also, April to June presents a great opportunity to witness the annual hatching of sea turtles on some of the Seychelles' beaches.
