SPANZA Update Meeting & Optional Workshops
15 - 16 March 2024
The Canberra Hospital, ACT

The SPANZA Update meeting is held on Saturday 16th March and is a one-day course suitable for the occasional paediatric anaesthetist and other staff (nursing/technical) wanting to upgrade their knowledge of current paediatric anaesthetic management. Optional workshops will be held the day prior on Friday 15th March.

This will be a hybrid meeting with face-to-face and virtual registration options. This will be a simple zoom set up, without use of cameras or live interaction.  Questions can be asked, but will be done online and raised by the chair in the room.  The online experience is not designed to be an interactive attendance.

Both registration types will give you access to join us live on the day as well as watch the recordings post meeting.

ABOUT SPANZA

The Society for Paediatric Anaesthesia in New Zealand and Australia is an incorporated society comprising Specialist Anaesthetists who by reason of their practice and experience are particularly interested in anaesthetising and caring for children.

SPANZA has the following goals:

• Be an advocate for appropriate standards of care and education in paediatric anaesthesia; pain management and perioperative care for children.
  
• Promote communication between and fellowship of members of the Society.
  
• Promote the interests of anaesthetists who care for children.
  
• Maintain links with the Australian and New Zealand College of Anaesthetists, the Australian Society of Anaesthetists and the New Zealand Society of Anaesthetists through the Anaesthesia Continuing Education Coordinating Committee.
  
• Foster liaison with similar paediatric anaesthesia organisations in other parts of the world.
